Puerto Rico Healthcare Coalition Final endorsement letter regarding Wage Index Policy for Medicare Advantage 2026

The “Puerto Rico Healthcare Community” (PRHC) requests that the Trump administration include in several upcoming proposed Medicare payment regulations, the addition or increase of “floors” to wage index calculations in order to protect health care providers and their Medicare patients in rural and low wage areas from being left behind the rest of the country. This applies to the 2026 Home Health Prospective Payment System (HH PPS) proposed rule and the 2026 End Stage Renal Disease Prospective Payment System (ESRD PPS) proposed rule, each currently under OMB review.
